Model Railway Exhibition
Hosted by St Neots Model Railway Club
7th of March 2009
2009 Exhibition:
Our exhibition on Saturday 7th March 2009 was extremely successful with over 1000 visitors attending.
2009 was our first show at the Buckden Millennium Centre which is the Club’s meeting place. It is a big multi-room community centre close to the A1 and we had very good feedback about the venue. Despite car parking being a bit tight early in the day while the local football training was taking place, a great many people visited and we have also acquired several new members since the event.
The Shield for the Best Layout presented in memory of Brian Rawlings, one of our members was aptly won by Grumstick and Dipplewick, a layout originally built by Brian and now exhibited by his wife Bev, daughter Andrea and son-in law Mark. The trophy is awarded by a vote of the public attending the show.
Plans are now underway for our next exhibition in March 2011, meantime the Club Open Day will be held in March 2010.
