Visiting the Harz Mountains in Germany?
One of our club members let us know about the excellent Lautenthal model railway, featuring trains in gauges including Z, N, TT, HO and 1. Over 200 digitally controlled routes can be set with trains running to an operating schedule and even announcements play in the stations!

There's also the nearby Harz mountains steam railway, which is a 131km long track running through picturesque countryside, with a fleet of 25 steam engines, 6 railcars, 16 diesel engines and numerous historic railway carriages. And if you're looking for somewhere to stay then the Hotel Harmonie in the town of Bad Grund is said to be the ideal place to stay.
